Cookies

To make this Website, our Client Portal, and our Technology Products work properly, we, Integral Ad Science, Inc. and our subsidiaries, sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. Most big websites do this too. For a more detailed description of this Website, our Client Portal and our Technology Products, see our privacy policy.

As further described in this cookie policy and our privacy policy, we permit third-party service providers to place cookies on your device when you visit our Website and our Client Portal.

In addition to third-party cookies set when you visit our Website and Client Portal, we set our own cookies from the following domains when you visit a website or use a mobile application tracked by our Technology Products: iasds01.com [and dt.adsafeprotected.com].Each of our cookies stores only an alphanumeric identifier that can be interpreted by our systems. Cookies that we set on users’ browsers and devices are set to expire 24 months after initially being set.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another. To learn more about cookies, please visit http://www.aboutcookies.org/.

What types of cookies do we use?

We use various types of cookies:

Session cookies: Session cookies are temporary cookies that remain on your device until you leave the Website. Session cookies are essential to make our Website work correctly, as they enable you to move around our Website and use our features.

Functional cookies: Functional cookies are persistent and help us recognize you as an existing user of our Website, so it’s easier and convenient to return to our Website or interact with our services without signing in again and help us record information about your web browsing habits during the lifetime of the persistent cookie. They remain on your device for much longer or until you manually delete it (how long the cookie remains on your device will depend on the duration or „lifetime“ of the specific cookie and your browser settings).

Tracking and advertising cookies: These cookies help us recognize you when you view a resource belonging to our website from another website (and vice-versa, such when serve a relevant marketing and advertising). We also use such cookies to provide our Technology Products to our customers.

Analytics and performance cookies: We also use cookies to track, compile and analyze usage, navigational and other statistical information that allow us to understand how people use our Website and to help us improve the structure and content of the Website.

Mobile device identifiers: Also known as a universally unique ID or “UUID” is a string of characters that is incorporated into a device by its manufacturer and can be used to uniquely identify that device (for example an IMEI-number of a mobile phone or the Advertising ID assigned to a tablet running the Android operating system). Different device identifiers vary in how permanent they are, whether they can be reset by users, and how they can be accessed. A given device may have several different unique device identifiers. Unique device identifiers can be used for various purposes, including security and fraud detection, syncing services such as a user’s email inbox, remembering the user’s preferences and providing relevant advertising.

How do we use tracking technologies with mobile devices?

Other technologies may also be used for similar purposes as cookies and pixels on platforms where cookies are not available or applicable, such as mobile device identifiers for advertising. Most modern mobile devices running Apple, Android, and Windows 10 (and above) operating systems provide mobile advertising identifiers. For example, we may use an advertising identifier such as the Identifier Advertiser (“IDFA”) on iOS devices and the Advertising ID on Android devices where cookies are not available.

In addition to mobile device identifiers we may also collect device-specific information such as your operating system, hardware version, device settings, file and software names and types, and unique device identifiers. This helps us measure how the Website is performing and improve the Website for you on your particular device.

How to control cookies and similar technologies with mobile?

You can disable and/or delete all types of cookies by using your browser settings. Cookies are generally easy to disable and/or delete but how you do so varies from browser to browser. The „help“ function within your browser should tell you how to do it. The best way may be to close your browser and then search for „cookie folder“ or „cookie manager“ or simply „cookie“.
