IAS and MarketOne® DSP Partner To Eliminate Fraudulent Ad Impressions: First DSP in Japan remove all fraudulent impressions from advertising campaigns as standard feature

Tokyo, Japan – 24 April 2018 –  Integral Ad Science (IAS) announced a partnership with D. A. Consortium’s Platform One (P1) to bring Japanese customers the first programmatic Prebid targeting segments to eliminate fraudulent impressions from all ad campaigns. The solutions will be available to through P1’s MarketOne®, one of the largest DSPs in Japan.

IAS’s feature that detects and eliminates fraudulent impressions will be used for all MarketOne® ad campaigns to eliminate impressions that are categorized as Sophisticated Invalid Traffic (SIVT: fraudulent impressions with malicious intent). This includes all types of trading such as Private Marketplace (PMP) campaigns, as well as general open auctions. Because pre-bid targeting (pre-bid filtering) is used for removing fraudulent impressions, advertisers can avoid bidding on fraudulent impressions, thus preventing wasteful spending.

“The importance and role of ad verification continue to increase as more and more advertisers budgets shift to programmatic ads”, said Taro Fujinaka, IAS MD for Japan. “This collaboration with P1 for eliminating fraudulent impressions from all ad campaigns as a standard feature is the first step to creating a healthier digital landscape for advertisers in Japan. We believe that this collaboration will liberate advertisers from the threat of fraudulent impressions and enable them to allocate budgets to digital ads more efficiently.”

IAS and P1 will continue utilizing the feature to detect and eliminate fraudulent impressions based on pre-bid targeting to contribute to campaigns, setting higher viewability as KPI, and fully exclude distribution destinations that would undermine brand reputation, strengthening MarketOne® viewability, brand safety targeting, and verification.
